Cross Canadian Ragweed Gives Back: Free Tickets for First Responders at Waco Show + Charity Ticket Release

Texas has taken a beating this summer. After devastating floods swept across the state in July, Cross Canadian Ragweed is stepping up in a big way ahead of their much-anticipated McLane Stadium show at Baylor University on Saturday, August 23rd.

Cross Canadian Ragweed Gives Back Free Tickets for First Responders at Waco Show + Charity Ticket Release

The iconic Red Dirt band has set aside 200 free tickets exclusively for first responders, working directly with local authorities to ensure they land in the right hands. It’s a powerful gesture from a band that’s long called Texas home—frontman Cody Canada and bassist Jeremy Plato have both lived in the Lone Star State for over two decades, and they’re not taking the recent devastation lightly.

“The gratefulness felt for all first responders can never be overstated,” the band shared in a joint statement.

But they’re not stopping there.

Tickets Available Now – With a Purpose

Starting Friday, August 1st at 10:00 AM CST, additional tickets—previously held for production—were released to the public. And in true Ragweed fashion, 100% of proceeds from these tickets will be donated to a handful of charities aiding flood recovery efforts across Texas.

A Lineup Worth the Trip

Joining Cross Canadian Ragweed in Waco are some heavy-hitters:

This show is being called the “encore” to April’s historic four-night, sold-out run at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. But this time, it’s more than a concert—it’s a celebration of Texas resilience and a tribute to the heroes who help rebuild it.

Why It Matters

This marks the band’s first show in Texas as a reunited group in over 15 years. Add the gravity of what Texas has endured lately, and you’ve got a concert that promises both healing and high-octane country rock.

If you’re looking for one unforgettable night of music with real heart—and a damn good reason to head to Waco—this is it.
