Boys From Oklahoma Add Second Athens, GA Show After Instant Sell-Out

If there was ever any doubt that the Boys From Oklahoma run was lightning in a bottle, this week erased it completely.

Following overwhelming demand, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Turnpike Troubadours have officially added a second Athens, Georgia show after tickets for the original date disappeared almost immediately.

Boys From Oklahoma Add Second Athens, GA Show After Instant Sell-Out

The newly added show will take place Friday, February 27, 2026 at Akins Ford Arena, joining the already announced Saturday, February 28, 2026 performance. Both nights are part of The Boys From Oklahoma concert series, which has quickly become one of the most in-demand live events in country music.

Cross Canadian Ragweed’s long-awaited return has already proven historic, following sold-out stadium shows and a level of fan response rarely seen in modern country. Pairing that energy with Turnpike Troubadours, a band operating at the absolute peak of their powers, created a perfect storm of demand that outpaced a single-night capacity.

Who’s Joining Them

  • Shelby Stone will support the original Saturday show.
  • The Castellows will open the newly added Friday night performance.

Both openers bring serious momentum of their own, making each night its own distinct experience rather than a simple repeat.

Ticket Info

Fans can currently sign up for presale access for the added Friday show, with registration open through January 13 at 5pm. If the pattern from past Boys From Oklahoma shows holds, waiting is not recommended.

This entire series has become a case study in what happens when Red Dirt loyalty meets scarcity. One night wasn’t enough. Two might not be either.
