Every fall, Tulsa turns into a living, breathing Red Dirt history book—and this year the pages are on fire. On Sunday, October 12, more than 50 Oklahoma musicians will flood 18th and Boston for the 10th annual Skinnerfest, honoring the late great Tom Skinner while raising funds for the Red Dirt Relief Fund.

Now, if you’ve ever been to Skinnerfest, you already know—it’s not just a concert, it’s a full-on Oklahoma family reunion with guitars, fiddles, and probably a few surprise jams you’ll be bragging about for years.
Music + Comedy = A New Twist
The day kicks off with a VIP Cajun brunch at Mercury Lounge, complete with the King Cabbage Brass Band, who recently lent their horns to Zach Bryan’s tour. After brunch, they’ll lead a second line parade straight into the festival, setting the tone for a marathon of music.
We’re talking Johnny Mullenax, Keyland, Red Dirt Rangers with Randy Crouch, Amber Watson, Brothers Moore, Casii Stephan, BC & the Big Rig, Travis Linville, Jesse Aycock, Beau Roberson and so many more. That’s not even half the lineup, y’all.
And here’s the curveball: Tulsa’s own Evan Hughes is bringing stand-up comedy to both stages between sets. Because if Skinner taught us anything, it’s that Red Dirt isn’t just about the songs—it’s about the laughs, the love, and the community that ties it all together.
Saturday Pre-Party
The celebration actually starts the night before, October 11, with “The Low Stakes Comedy Show: Skinnerfest Edition” at Chimera in the Tulsa Arts District. It’s free, all ages, and comes with a suggested $10 donation to support Red Dirt Relief Fund. Expect chaotic laughs, sloppy comedy, and a set from local band The Gremlins.
Why It Matters
Tom Skinner himself said it best: Red Dirt music is “more of a brotherhood and a community thing than it is necessarily a style.” This festival carries that torch, with every ticket sold helping fund emergency assistance for Oklahoma musicians who find themselves in a tough spot. Since 2012, Red Dirt Relief Fund has granted over $1 million to artists across more than 100 Oklahoma communities.
