Fresh off the release of his latest heartbreak anthem, “The Way I Am,” Warner Music Nashville’s viral Country riser, Chase Matthew, will soon mark off a career, bucket list milestone. The Music City-native will make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Tuesday, March 14.
Taking a quick break from crisscrossing the nation on his headline ‘Love You Again Tour,’ Matthew will return to his roots to step in the legendary circle, showcasing the impressive chops and true entertainer-driven energy that led to this southern-bred showman amassing a loyal following of more than 1 Million fans across social media and garnering an average of more than 1.5 Million monthly listeners on Spotify, alone.
Yesterday (2.22), Matthew released the reflective video for his hard-charging, breakup track, “The Way I Am” (out 2.3 via Warner Music Nashville), which was directed by Ed Pryor and filmed in a desolate, industrial yard just outside of Nashville. The angsty visual finds the buzzworthy newcomer reflecting on the post-breakup man he’s become, while singing along to his latest streaming success – a song which has notched more than 1.5 Million cumulative streams and landed on multiple DSP-helmed playlists, including Spotify’s Next From Nashville and Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Country, in just under three weeks.
