CHRIS STAPLETON, KACEY MUSGRAVES, MARGO PRICE, STURGILL SIMPSON, and others are set to join the annual FARM AID benefit show, scheduled for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd at the XFINITY THEATRE in HARTFORD, CT, the first time FARM AID has taken place there. STAPLETON and company will join FARM AID founding fathers WILLIE NELSON, NEIL YOUNG, and JOHN MELLENCAMP for the 33rd edition of the benefit, making FARM AID the longest-running cause-driven concert in music history. During that time, the effort has generated more than $53 million in grants to help family farmers.
The state of CONNECTICUT has approximately 6,000 farms, with agriculture contributing up to $4 billion and 21,000 jobs to the state’s economy on an annual basis. Tickets for this year’s FARM AID show go on sale FRIDAY, JUNE 29th at 10a (ET); some pre-sale tickets will go up TODAY(6/26) via the FARM AID website.
