In April, Craig Campbell released his passionate Class of ’89 album, six songs representing the core influences who helped mold his desire to pursue a career as an artist and songwriter. On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, he will perform the album in its entirety live on stage at Chief’s on Broadway in Nashville. Tickets must be reserved and are available HERE.
“I cut my musical teeth and got my big break performing on Broadway, so it only made sense to go back there and perform songs that had such an impact on my career,” said Craig. “To get to play them back to back and explain what each one means to me is going to be a blast.”

Included on Class of ’89 are “Killin’ Time” by Clint Black, “Too Cold At Home” by Mark Chesnutt, Restless Heart’s “Bluest Eyes In Texas,” “On The Other Hand” by Randy Travis, “Be My Baby Tonight” by John Michael Montgomery, and Travis Tritt’s “Anymore.”
Craig recently played “Killin’ Time” for Clint Black and shared what the song meant to him and his career. The two sang an acoustic version of the song in the studio, which Craig posted on his socials. He also had the opportunity to share with Randy Travis that singing “On The Other Hand” is the song that made his wife, Mindy, fall in love with him.
In a move unique in the Nashville music scene, Craig enlisted his friends from his days performing on Lower Broadway and road musicians to record all of the tracks. “These are guys I spent years with on the road. When it came time to go into the studio, I knew there was no other band that could play these songs the way I wanted better than my boys. Thank you David Black, Shawn, Aaron, David Karns, Jamie, Tyler and David Spires!” All seven musicians will be with him on stage to perform the album at Chief’s.
The Class of ‘89 album cover was a photo taken by a local photographer in Craig’s home town of Lyons, Georgia after he won his first talent show singing “Be My Baby Tonight.” The photo is the perfect representation of where he was when all of this music came into his life.
Fans who miss the Chief’s on Broadway performance can catch him headlining the Murfreesboro Celebration Under The Stars 4th of July festivities at The Fountains at Gateway in Murfreesboro, Tennessee the next evening. He heads north of the border on July 6 for a performance at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival on Prince Edward Island in Canada.
