The Earl Scruggs Music Festival returns to Tryon International in Mill Spring, North Carolina for its fifth annual Labor Day weekend celebration on September 4–6, 2026. Tickets and on-site lodging packages are on sale now.
The festival continues to grow as one of the most respected gatherings in bluegrass and Americana. Named after legendary banjo pioneer Earl Scruggs, the event blends roots music tradition with modern artists who draw from that same foundation.
This year’s lineup features The Avett Brothers, Greensky Bluegrass, and The Del McCoury Band as headliners, along with performances from Béla Fleck: My Bluegrass Heart, Alison Brown (Artist-in-Residence), Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Mountain Grass Unit, Lindsay Lou, and many more.
The festival was recently named 2025 International Bluegrass Music Association Event of the Year, a recognition that reflects how quickly it has become a staple for fans of American roots music.
New for 2026 is the Louise Scruggs Stage, honoring the influential manager and advocate who helped shape Earl Scruggs’ career and the broader bluegrass industry.
