WHEELHOUSE RECORDS’ GRANGER SMITH and his crew woke to unpleasant news on SATURDAY morning (8/11) as SMITH’s tour manager alerted him that his equipment truck had been involved in an accident that left it overturned across the highway. None of SMITH’s crew was injured in the accident, but the semi was totaled and some equipment cases were damaged.
SMITH shared the story, as well as footage from the accident site, via FACEBOOK yesterday (8/12).
“It puts perspective on everything,” said SMITH in the video. “Just standing there on that hill looking down at our whole music life, packed into a truck that is completely decapitated…but knowing that we’re all okay, the band and crew, we’re perfectly fine, it puts everything in perspective.” SMITH made his next stop in BALTIMORE as scheduled.
