According to the Nashville Business Journal, Shania Twain is partnering with pop singer Gavin DeGraw and his brother, Joey DeGraw, in their bar Nashville Underground.
The big difference between Shania and all her country music counterparts is that she’s not just licensing her name to a corporate establishment, she’s actually investing behind the scenes in an already established hotspot. Unlike Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and others who partnered with mega-moguls to create multi-level cookie-cutter tourist traps, Shania has decided to put her stamp on the existing proven success of a bar with no celebrity names on the marquee.
Nashville Underground offers an intimate live music venue in addition to restaraunt space and dance floors galore. No word yet whether they’ll be changing their name or undertaking a remodel as part of this partnership at this time.
