“We first teamed up with Sturgill for a livestream event during the pandemic, a benefit concert streamed live to fans worldwide from an empty Ryman Auditorium,” Brad Serling, founder and CEO of nugs.net, said in a statement. “Fast forward for years, and we’re elated to have him back on nugs.net in this capacity, this is a special opportunity for fans. This tour is a celebration of his return, and through nugs, we’re proud to be able to provide fans a piece of that live experience from home.”

The “Why Not? Tour” is Simpson’s first full-fleged tour in more than four years. Simpson is booked by Wasserman Music’s Jonathan Levine in North America and by Wasserman Music UK’s Rob Challice in Europe. He’s managed by TMWRK Management’s Andrew McInnes.

On Aug. 9, Simpson headlined Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco, the date grossing $52,725, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. His last headline tour in 2020 included a date at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 6, which sold 12,896 tickets grossing $977,018.

The platform notes audio from Simpson’s Sept. 14 show at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles will not be available for streaming. European dates are not yet confirmed.
