Wynonna Judd Kicks Off Back To Wy Tour

Last night, one of Country music’s most legendary voices and truly iconic performers Wynonna Judd kicked off her 2023 North American Back To Wy Tour in Indianapolis, IN at the Murat Theatre at Old National Center showcasing her debut and sophomore solo albums, “Wynonna” and “Tell Me Why.” The country music icon performed each album front to back, in order, with a sentimental acoustic section between the two sets.

Fans sang along to 30-year favorites and Judds classics such as “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Old Days),” “Love Is Alive,” and “Mama He’s Crazy.” Her encore was none other than legendary, which included a fiery cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Rock & Roll.”

“Getting to share this tour with the fans who have been with me for 40 years, means the world to me. Deep diving into my first two solo albums, “Wynonna” and “Tell Me Why,” track by track, will be a trip down memory lane. As I sit and listen to these two records, I’m flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life. The fans held me up and supported me through that season of change in 1992, and I now see “herstory” repeating itself. This music healed me then and is healing me now. The circle of life continues…”

Produced by Live Nation, Back To Wy Tour continues tonight with a show in Ames, Iowa at Stephens Auditorium before heading across the country with stops in Birmingham, Dallas, Louisville, and more before wrapping up in Knoxville at the Tennessee Theatre on December 1st.
