2016 Billboard Music Awards Basics
The 2016 24th Annual Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live for the first time, will air live coast to coast from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. on May 22nd.
2016 Billboard Music Awards Performances
The 2016 #BBMAs will include performances by Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Fifth Harmony with Ty Dolla Sign, Troye Sivan, Meghan Trainor, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, Nick Jonas featuring Tove Lo, Rihanna and Demi Lovato, as well as the debut of Adele’s music video for “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” and special showcases featuring Britney Spears, Pink, Celine Dion and Madonna.
Britney Spears is expected to kick off the show with a medley of her greatest hits in celebration of the Billboard Millennium Award she is being presented with this year. Meanwhile legendary shapeshifter Madonna has been tapped to provide a touching tribute to the Paisley Palace royal himself, Prince.
Celine Dion is set to make a thunderous comeback after a very tragic time with her first performance since the loss of her brother and her husband. She will be giving love to the 1991 Queen hit aptly titled “The Show Must Go On“. Celine will also be presented with the Billboard Icon Award.
And to top it all off in big top fashion, Pink is said to be combining the gravity-defying acrobatics as well as crowd-inspiring theatrics she’s become known for in an all-around incredible live performance of her latest single “Just Like Fire”.
